Drone shows in Wauwatosa
Wauwatosa sits between Milwaukee’s two towered airports, and much of its green space is county parkland. Both shape how a show here is planned.
Airspace
Timmerman Airport asks drone operators to contact its tower before any flight within five nautical miles, and Mitchell asks for air traffic control approval in its airspace. A venue on the north side of Wauwatosa may fall inside Timmerman’s radius, so the drone show team checks the exact launch point.
County parks
Parks along the Menomonee River parkway are Milwaukee County Parks property. Commercial drone use there needs a filming permit, and drones must stay at least 50 feet from park buildings, shelters and statues. A company campus or private event space is usually simpler.
Who books here
Office and medical campuses for staff and donor events, the business districts for holiday nights, and private venues for weddings.
Shows start at 150 drones; see typical budgets in the cost guide or run the show planner for Wauwatosa.
